Toddlers learn through active exploration, engaging their whole bodies as they touch, taste, and try things on their own. At this age, they are full of energy and spend most of their waking hours investigating their environment. By exploring objects with all their senses and learning by doing, they naturally develop thinking skills. Our toddler program offers age-appropriate activities that encourage curious toddlers to explore while building coordination and essential skills. The program is designed to ease the transition from home to childcare in a supportive, nurturing environment. Our toddler room is a safe and stimulating space, furnished with age-appropriate equipment that allows children to complete tasks independently, such as art and craft activities and eating. Each child is provided with their own sleeping cot, as daily nap/rest time is required. Our staff guides children in developing key self-care skills, including eating, dressing, and toileting. Weekly activities are thoughtfully planned to match each child’s interests, encouraging exploration, learning, and independence. As communication becomes more important at this stage, language development is fostered through songs, stories, and games, helping to expand vocabulary and expressive language. Group circle time is always interactive, encouraging participation from every child. Sensory exploration is integrated into the program using themed sensory bins, while educational toys introduce toddlers to concepts like colors, shapes, numbers, textures, and sizes. Both indoor and outdoor activities are provided, with age-appropriate toys and equipment for physical play.
Our goals are as follows:
Support skill development.
Foster independence.
Promote socialization through outdoor activities.
Encourage physical development.
Meet essential needs in a caring environment.
